A few nights ago, we got to do something new! Wilshire Park put Christmas lights and decorations for their Wonderland of Lights at a local park.
This park has one of our favorite trails to walk in the warmer weather. We couldn’t wait to see it all light up and decorated for Christmas. When we pulled in, Elvis knew exactly where we were and was excited everyone was there with us!
I don’t know how everyone else feels, but for me, December can be challenging from the pure busyness of it all! With four kids in three different schools, jobs, clubs, practices, etc. And every one of the extracurriculars wants to do something extra together for the holiday. It can get overwhelming quickly. That was so awesome about this outing- we didn’t have to rush! Oh, and did I mention it was FREE!! Plus, it is not so big that it took a long time either, which was extra helpful with a six-year-old and puppy dog with us! We truly enjoyed getting to slow down and take a walk together. We laughed so hard at Elvis, checking all the lights out, pulling us all here and there!
He really couldn’t understand why Lou would want to get in a doghouse!
Our favorite parts were the Light trees near the “north pole.” We spent a reasonable amount of time here trying to get a few “good” pictures. Everyone was laughing by the time we got them from the camera flash and flared lights in the picture.
It genuinely was a magical walk!
Exactly what we needed to light the Christmas spirit in us!

I hope all of you get the chance to slow down and walk together and take in some of the Christmas peace everyone sings about all the time. Thanks for taking a minute to check out this blog. Thanks for being part of our Crazy! Until Next Time…
