Last week was Valentine’s Day! Valentines 2022 was simple and sweet but was filled with so much LOVE!!! In our family, we celebrate Valentine’s Day with the “14 days of I love you,” which is where for the first 14 days of February (leading to Valentine’s Day), I give small gifts to the girls (and any other littles in my life at the time) showing that I love them! On the 14th, I will try to gift them an activity or something we can do together! Our schedules are all a little bit out of sync right now, with work, tutoring, concert band, etc. So, the gift was a little all over the place.
Day One fell on the Lunar New Year (Chinese New Year). So, all the littles got a fortune cookie. Then my family had Chinese food for dinner. And a few of the kids even tried eating with chopsticks!
Day two also fell on groundhogs’ day. My brother and Lou made groundhog cake toppers, and then we decorated cupcakes to share with everyone!
Here is the link to the groundhog's Day vlog:
Day three is a practice day, so the gift was little: “cuties for my favorite cuties! I did add little emoji faces to add to their cuteness!
Day four fell on a Friday, so since I wouldn’t see my little (tutoring kids), I gave each of them a 3-in-1 gift of pencils, erasers, and sharpeners to cover days four, five, and six. This was actually more exciting than you would think because they each had their very own sharpeners and a cute eraser that they “didn’t have to share with anyone,” which is a pretty big deal to 6- to 11-year-olds.
On Day seven, we bounced straight into things with heart-bouncy balls! A side note is the kids loved these but 2 of them, who tend to want to figure out how things work, took their balls apart to get the heart out, which didn’t bother me at all! As their “teacher,” seeing them asking questions and figuring things out is soooo exciting!
On day eight, each of the kids got a jar necklace or jar key chain that Lou and I made!
Day nine, I was a bit of a slacker, and they got a pack of Takis, and my kids all got chick-fila. After tutoring, the older two girls went to a concert, while Lou lee and I had a girl’s night at home.
On day ten, I did not see the littles I because it was a practice day, and I got pizza for my girls so they could eat while we watched a movie together! I made a meats pizza, a cheese pizza, and a dairy-free, gluten-free, tomato-free pizza for me!
For days eleven and twelve, they got a little notebook and a cute little pen!!!
Day thirteen, Lou and I made heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast!

On day fourteen, VALENTINE’S DAY, we took a box of cookies to decorate together at tutoring! I always try to plan an activity that we all do together!
For Valentine's Day, my girls get a “big gift” from their daddy. He and I spent the night by the fire just hanging out together. Like I said, overall, it was simple but was full of LOVE! Here is the vlog about Simsnanagains Valentine’s Day 2022!
