When we woke up yesterday morning, we found that it had snowed all night, and the ground was powdery snow. There is nothing quite like waking up to freshly fallen snow, especially since we live in Georgia where it does not snow very often.
What makes it even better, it was a day that everyone was supposed to be home warm and safe together, so we really could just take the day to enjoy the snow. The second that Lou saw the snow; she ran to wake her sisters up. Then she got dressed and went to play outside with Elvis.
After breakfast, we all bundled up and visited the neighbor's house, which was completely prepared for a snow day, complete with snow sleds, hot chocolate, marshmallows, and a fire to warm up beside.
They spent the day playing: having fights, sledding, building a snow bear, and of course, a snow day photoshoot. It was a great day that we laughed and played together.
Even our furry friends got and played in the snow!
With so many teenagers in the house, days like this are few and far between. It makes me so thankful that they all were willing to spend the entire day together.
