Today is my youngest little girl’s 6th birthday. This is hard for my brain to process: sometimes it seems like she is still my snuggly baby girl, and on times she hangs so well with her teen sisters that I feel like she must be almost a teen herself.
We describe Queen E as the exclamation mark on our family. She is such a wild, free-spirited little girl that always has something wit to say. She will fight for what she believes with every fiber of her being and loves with her whole heart! I have no doubt she will change the world, as long as she is in the right mood!
Even though today is her actual birthday, we will have her a little birthday party Sunday, but a few of her friends (that she “stole” from her older sisters) came over for dinner and to celebrate with her today! I am so thankful for these kids. This little get-together isn’t as grand as the one she has been planning in her head (which is strongly based after JoJo Sewa’s sweet 16). I do not doubt that she had a great day and felt completely surrounded by love.
A few highlights of the day are that our silly Christmas Elves brought her a JoJo bow for her birthday. Daddy picked her up from school and they cooked dinner together (Lou’s choice was spaghetti and garlic bread) and I made her a simple vanilla cake. She also picked to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas. It was simply perfect. I love that she didn’t really expect this huge elaborate party. She genuinely just appreciated the people that celebrated her!
I really hope that her birthday party this weekend is as perfect as today was!
Thanks for being part of birthday Craziness! Until next time…
