Easy cookie cutter St. Patrick’s Day painting Craft

This is a super simple craft activity for toddlers or preschoolers, or even older kids, especially for toddlers or preschoolers. It’s easy to set up and easy to clean up, which I love!

You will need:

  • A plate to put paint on

  • a few shamrock (4-leaf clover) shaped cookie cutters in different sizes

  • a couple of green paints in different shades of green

  • a canvas to paint the shamrocks on

Start by pouring a good amount of the green paints around the plate. Dip the cookie cutter into the green paint completely covering the bottom of the cookie cutter with the green paint.

And press the shamrock cookie cutter onto the canvas. *Remind the kids that you need to go straight down and right back up, no need to wiggle the cookie cutter! Repeat until the canvas is covered! We also added some around the sides, but Lou (7 years old) felt like that was a job for Momma because the canvas had to be standing up!

We definitely recommend giving this a try- Lou gave it a 10 out of 10! We love how it turned out! It is the perfect living room decoration for St. Patrick’s Day!

Not to mention that it is super-fast to get ready for or to do! Plus, there is not really a mess at the end either! Another cool thing about this craft is it can easily be converted for any holiday– heart cutters for Valentine’s Day, eggs for Easter, trees for Christmas, or even paw prints for a cool dog painting.

Here is a video Lou and I made about making them:

Hope you try this in your house! Thanks for taking a minute to be part of our Crazy! Until next time...
